The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Medical Imaging and Technology is designed to equip students with a thorough understanding of medical imaging modalities and the technological principles behind them. This program emphasizes the integration of imaging techniques with patient care, focusing on the importance of accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment in healthcare settings. Students will develop both practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for roles in medical imaging, radiography, and healthcare technology. OBJECTIVES:

- Equip students with a solid grounding in medical imaging concepts, including various imaging modalities such as X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound, and their applications in modern healthcare.
- Provide students with knowledge about the principles and operation of medical imaging equipment, including image acquisition, processing, and quality assurance.
- Familiarize students with patient care protocols and safety standards in medical imaging, including radiation safety, infection control, and patient communication.
- Educate students on the physics underlying medical imaging technologies, including the principles of radiation, magnetism, and sound waves as they apply to imaging modalities.
- Train students in advanced imaging technologies and techniques, including 3D imaging, digital radiography, and emerging modalities such as PET and SPECT.

02 stamped A4 envelopes bearning the candidate's address

A receipt for payment of registration fees
